18 hConcert series »Klang & Form«GROOVY JAZZSophia Oster QuartettThe young pianist, singer and composer Sophia Oster is undoubtedly one of the most promising jazz talents of the Hamburg Academy of Music and has already earned a worthy place in the scene.
With her new formation, formed around the multiple award-winning Hamburg saxophonist and flutist Gabriel Coburger, she returns to the traditional four-piece lineup; the quartet is completed by Tilman Oberbeck on bass and Tobias Frohnhöfer on drums.
Deep groove, lyrical melodies and a desire to improvise are at the heart of their collaborative music-making.
